You may have heard of cheat meals if you’ve heard of fit guys eating pizza and other junk food while staying lean. It can definitely throw people off balance. Some Body Coaches have ads or videos that promote the idea of you still being able to eat the foods that you like while maintaining a healthy lifestyle and eating routine. It’s important to know why some people implement them and some don’t.

Cheat Meals vary from person to person, because one person may not have junk foods they enjoy while the other one can fare well without them. It’s meant to be a psychological aid for people who may miss eating some of the foods that may have held them back from eating better or may have needed to heavily moderate.

Body Coaches put emphasis on exercise, but more importantly what you eat and how much enjoyment you’re getting out of what you’re eating. Many people start to do something to try to better their life, but it usually goes downhill quickly because they find it mundane, boring, or flat-out unfun.

It’s true that everything good derives off of hard work and perseverance, but enjoying something can go a long way to motivate someone to keep doing something even if they don’t see any immediate progress. With that said, cheat meals should be used in moderation depending on how much of your favorite foods are junk foods vs healthy foods. Having one cheat meal won’t kill all of your progress, but having them constantly will eventually wreak havoc on your health if they are riddled with junk food.

Everyone’s different so I can’t tell anyone what to have for their cheat meal. Cheat Meals should be balanced out with what your health goal is and should take macro and micronutrients into consideration to determine how often you should have them.
